QUAN LATEEF-HILL - MAD Free producer

Quan Lateef-Hill is a Producer and Filmmaker with hands-on experience in Television, Film, Radio, and Event Production.  

Quan joined MAD FREE during the launch of the celebrated traveling conversation series MAD FREE: Liberating Conversations About Image, Beauty & Power, and has grown with the brand over the years. Most recently, Quan Produced and Co-Directed the mobile mini-doc series HAIR TALES—which appeared on Refinery29, Huffington Post, Viacom’s CENTRIC TV, and premiered internationally at AFROPUNK Paris 2016.

Quan’s extensive set of skills includes development, pre & post-production, and knowledge of the overall creative process. She has worked with many national and independent production companies to include Discovery Communications, PBS, Bravo TV, Viacom Networks and others. Some notable projects that were #ProducedByQUAN include: Brooklyn’s AFROPUNK Fest, The Blackhouse at Sundance Film Festival, ESSENCE Festival Empower U & Expo Stages, the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards, comedy web-series GET YOUR LIFE (created by Amanda Seales and produced through the Issa Rae Youtube channel), and others. Quan is also co-owner of Avenue.Pink, an online network for Multidimensional Professionals, Partner of Circa Eighty Two Creative Agency, and the Project Director for the volunteer run organization FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

CYNTRICA EATON - Web Developer

Cyntrica Eaton, PhD is a life-long tech enthusiast.  She got her beginning on her Grandmother's Tandy 1000 in the mid-80s and later parlayed her love for computers into being the first black woman to get a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park.  This project was special to her because it was fueled by sisterhood! 


DR. JAMIKA BURGE - Tech Advisor

Dr. Jamika Burge is the Head of Research Curriculum and Outreach at Capital One, where she oversees research curriculum development and outreach for user research at Capital One.  This means she ideates and creates innovative user research curricula that empower designers, developers, and product managers to apply design thinking and human-centered design principles into their daily work, and beyond. Prior to joining Capital One, served as a consultant to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the Information Innovation Office (I2O). She provided technical and management consult for innovative DARPA programs which were funded at over $70 million. She has also worked as a researcher at IBM Research (Almaden, CA and Watson, NY).  Jamika holds a Ph.D. in computer science, with a focus on human-computer interaction (HCI) from Virginia Tech, where she was an IBM Research Fellow.  She has been featured in the New York Times, ComputerWorld, and in 2016, she was recognized by HackBright Academy as a Top Tech Leader to Watch.

Jamika is Founder and Principal of Design & Technology Concepts, LLC, a consultancy that focuses on computer science design and education research.  She has consulted for Google, the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT), and the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U).  She is also active in computer science education and STEM preparedness efforts, and she has received NSF funding for her research supporting inclusion in computing and CS education.  Jamika’s career has also included positions in the academic (Spelman College and Howard University) and non-profit (Smarter Balanced at UCLA) sectors.
